How we list and match physicians
A directory is only useful if you can trust it. Here's what goes into every profile and every suggestion.
Verified credentials
We confirm medical licensure and board certification with the issuing boards before a profile is published.
Real availability
Practices update their accepting-new-patients status directly, and we recheck it regularly.
Transparent matching
Match suggestions explain why each physician appears. Practices can't pay to change the order.
Your information stays yours
Your searches and match answers aren't shared with practices. You decide whether to contact them.
What's on a profile
Each profile combines public licensing and certification records with details the practice provides: care model, visit options, insurance accepted, languages, and clinical interests.
How matching works
A short conversation asks who needs care, where they live, their insurance, and what matters most. We then narrow to the right type of primary care for that person (pediatrics for children, geriatrics or internal medicine for older adults, and so on) in their area, in network with their plan or practicing on a membership model.
Those doctors are ranked by how well their documented profile (care model, focus, conditions treated, visit options, languages) fits what you told us. Every suggestion lists the reasons it was chosen, drawn only from the profile.
What we don't do
Find a PCP doesn't provide medical care, and a match isn't a recommendation about your treatment. Always confirm insurance and availability directly with the practice.
Not sure where to start?
Answer a few questions and we'll suggest primary care physicians who fit who you are and how you want care.
